So, Alacrity's creator and I chatted ... this would be about three months ago about my possibly doing fanart. Alacrity is a somewhat intimidating character to draw, I will be honest. A lot of MUCH better artists have drawn her before me, and some of my content choices don't really synch up well with the way she's been depicted. So, understandably, I've been interested but nervous of actually going through with doing the fanart.
Finally, having glutted myself thoroughly on storyline art for Samantha and Threadjacker lately, and wanting to do some shorter-term pieces, I bit the bullet and tried to do her some justice. We'd talked about a two-possibility run in between Samantha and Alacrity, something that's easily believable in some ways... given how many hits have gotten called on Sam for one reason or another (girl tends to piss in a lot of pools by nature). And so it begins...
And, apparently, Samantha is aware she's not alone. Paranoia has its uses...
We'll see if I continue this piece, but I hope

Finally someone who might be more than a match for my little killer (but not so much that she'd run & hide) :}
and very nice depiction of her, yep Ala can be tricky to get right but keep her simple and there's less to mess. You have all the main elements (blonde hair brown eyes, dainty-but-ripped physique .. and a hint of mischief. Nice anatomy yay :}
The trickiest part was probably matching their comparative sizes, and you've done an excellent job, especially so in traditional.
Ala looks very deadly even tho she's a bit smaller ~
and Samantha looks suitably pissed-off .. uh-oh, what's gonna happen next~?!
