Oh, so THAT is what's going on. Well... craaaaaaaaaaaaaap. For those of you who've joined us over in the Deviant Universe over the last two years, this one's a throwback to the October Challenge "Monster Mash" in 2013. In this event, the
's Tribals unleashed biologically enhanced super-plants on numerous cities around the globe. Their pollen and spores caused people (and some Deviants) to turn into monsters and wreck havoc until the plants were dealt with.
As a bit of an ongoing play on "Yes, there are ongoing effects of this crap in the world," SG and Sam have to deal with some of the few remaining inactive spores that remain behind from that event, having devastated Lima in the aftermath of the Omega War. They must contain the threat before the problem begins all over again and Centauri has to move in.
On the upside? Between SG's internal nanites, Centauri's exosuit (capable of sealing her against environmental dangers that threaten her health. ...need to put pheromone filters up, girl. Seriously.) and the fact that Samantha is already a hybrid monster with a regenerative factor that can keep up with the spores, we have a tri-fecta of the best people to handle this problem quickly and without personal threat. As long as the spores don't go active. But... I wouldn't do that to Sam again would I?
(Sam really needs to be grateful SG is here. Seriously, the last time she had to deal with these things, she didn't have Stage 4 Biosafety protocols ready to go just in case.)
