The battle continues. A straightforward analysis is all too obvious. Even before they reach the actual gates of Valefar's palace, if the stealth team does not do its job, they could battle endless hordes of badies until even gods were worn down. That's just how hell works. Eventually, you fall, and there is no care for how much canon fodder dies to get you to that point. They have all the time in the world, and you have none.
So, for their part, the heroes are trapped in a dangerous struggle. They're in no real danger with Geryon down, at least for now, but without the gate opened for them, they can go no further than the entryway, which, of course, is Valefar's basic strategy already.

I quite like the idea that the forces of hell aren't set up to fight off an invasion because no-one would be dumb enough to try it! Great page - looking forward to the next one
