A continuation of "Necessity," this story assumes that the events of that particular spelunking transpired with relatively few incidents after the girls' harrowing experience with the subterranean guardian.  Little was gleaned, as frustratingly as ever, and the two followed what little lead they could to yet another remote location after some deciphering of texts.  Samantha has taken a short sabbatical for a personal mission from her time with the Gamma Team of the Thunder Force to try and help Dusk determine the source and origin of the mysterious mummy that the girl fought long ago.  Both are unsure, but are beginning to suspect that either this "Asclepus" somehow relates to the death of her master, or at the very least represents a sizable enough undead threat to merit immediate investigation and eradication if they find that they don't need backup.

The search seems, at first, almost completely fruitless, like one long goose chase.  However, one of the last chambers of the crypt deep in the Black Forest proves an almost deadly tentacled trap that reveals a gateway to ... somewhere else.  And now, their escape blocked by god knows what and a lack of egress, the two must find out where they are, glean what they can from this place, and escape with their lives, their minds and their souls intact!

, I hope you end up enjoying this series.  We'll see how long I go with it, but I'd expect at least two more chapters.  Feel free to drop any notes you want to me if you want to make suggestions on changes, tone or developments.  This is going to have a very Cthuluh feel to it, obviously.
