Tanook, seeking to apologize for the events of the "Universe's End" storyline ( dondevious.deviantart.com/favo… ) is making contact with his various teammates.  Eventually, he had to get around to Samantha.  In this and the next page, we'll see her reactions to his concerns.

Tried a couple things here.  The situation permitted it, so I decided to show Samantha in martial training clothes and in the midst of meditations.  The latter are part of the things her mother picked up and taught her (using book knowledge) of Tantric yoga to help her control her baser nature.  She does it on an almost daily basis, when given the chance, helping keep herself focused, centered, level headed and not ruled by her occasionally overwhelming hormones.  The training clothes are based upon a design that was shown to me by .  I'm not quite done tooling around with this concept yet, so it may make an appearance again down the road.  For now, this is simply a training gi she wears for martial arts training.

Samantha's perspective on the whole thing leans towards irritation (she doesn't see the need to bring it up or rub his face in it.  He already knows he F'd up.), and forgiveness.  At first, when addressing the topic of "But I nearly..." the fact remains that, for her, what elder Tanook did is not what Tanook present day has done.  She's fought at least one version of herself that went in directions she did not, and tends to view things a bit more openly in this regard.

(Oh, and if anyone's curious what martial art she practices - Yoga for meditation, and a mixture of practical karate applications with Ninjutsu, focusing on hand strikes and armed combat.)
